To understand the working principle of solar street lights, it is necessary to first clarify the composition of their core working system. Each component has its own function and cooperates closely to form a complete closed loop of energy conversion, storage and output. The whole operation process is fully automatically regulated by the built-in intelligent controller, following the natural law of day and night alternation, without manual intervention, which is both convenient and efficient. Among them, the solar photovoltaic panel is responsible for collecting solar energy, the lithium battery pack stores electrical energy, the intelligent controller regulates the whole system, the LED light source provides illumination, and the light pole plays a supporting and fixing role.

During the day when the light is sufficient, the solar photovoltaic panel, as the core component of energy collection, continuously absorbs solar radiation energy and converts it into direct current through the photovoltaic effect. At this time, the intelligent controller will immediately start the charging protection mechanism, perform voltage stabilization and current limiting processing on the converted current, ensuring that the electrical energy is stably and safely transmitted to the built-in lithium battery pack for storage. As the "container" for energy storage, the lithium battery pack adopts high-efficiency energy storage technology, which can store electrical energy to the maximum extent. At the same time, the controller will real-time monitor the battery power to avoid overcharging, which effectively extends the service life of the lithium battery. Generally, the service life of high-quality lithium batteries can reach 5-8 years. In addition, the controller will real-time detect the ambient light intensity. When the light brightness is higher than the set threshold, it will automatically keep the LED light source off to avoid unnecessary energy consumption during the day.

When dusk falls, the ambient light intensity gradually decreases and drops below the threshold preset by the controller, the controller will automatically trigger the switching mechanism to start the LED light source, and the entire street light system enters the lighting mode. At this time, the lithium battery pack full of electrical energy will continuously output stable and qualified electrical energy under the regulation of the controller to power the high-brightness LED light source, ensuring uniform and clear lighting effect to meet the lighting needs of outdoor scenarios. Generally speaking, the night lighting time of solar street lights can stably reach 8-12 hours, which can fully cover the main hours of night travel. At the same time, the lithium battery pack also has good endurance. Even if it encounters 3-5 consecutive rainy or cloudy days and cannot effectively collect solar energy, it can still maintain normal lighting by relying on the stored electrical energy, ensuring the stability of use.

This closed-loop energy conversion and storage system not only realizes the efficient utilization of solar energy but also has high safety and economy. Compared with traditional grid-powered street lights, solar street lights do not require long-term electricity expenses, which can greatly reduce the long-term operation cost. In terms of environmental protection, they do not consume fossil energy during operation and do not produce any pollutants such as waste gas and waste water, which is in line with the global trend of green and low-carbon development. From the perspective of convenience, solar street lights are easy to install and maintain, and the failure rate is low.
